PPCRV partial, unofficial count: Sara Duterte-Carpio so far leads 2022 VP race

PPCRV partial, unofficial count: Sara Duterte-Carpio leads VP race with 11.7M votes

MANILA, Philippines — Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is leading the 2022 vice presidential race in the partial and unofficial count of poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Monday night.

Duterte-Carpio got 25.8 million votes, based on the electronically transmitted results received by PPCRV from 86,651 clustered precincts at about 11:32 p.m. on Monday, which is 80.29% of the total number of precincts.

This is 18 million more than the votes of the second-placer, Sen. Francis Pangilinan, who got over 7.7 million.

Placing third in the vice presidential race is Senate President Vicente Sotto III with 6.9 million votes.

Coming in fourth is Dr. Willie Ong, the running mate of presidential candidate Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, with 1.6 million votes, followed by House Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza, the running mate of Sen. Manny Pacquiao, with 203,856 votes.

Duterte-Carpio’s running mate, former Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., also led in the presidential race with over 25 million votes.
