OCTA fellow: New COVID-19 cases in NCR stays below 100 on April 25
MANILA, Philippines — While there was a slight increase compared to the day prior, new COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila stayed below 100 on Monday, April 25, Octa Research fellow Guido David reported.
In a tweet on Tuesday, April 26, David shared that the National Capital Region (NCR) reported the most number of new cases on April 25 with 99 cases.
This was slightly higher than the 95 new cases reported in the region the day before, April 24, reported David who cited data from the Department of Health (DOH).

David said other provinces that reported new COVID-19 infections on April 25 are Cavite (13 cases), Batangas (8 cases), Negros Occidental (8 cases), Davao Del Sur (6 cases), Rizal (6 cases), Camarines Sur (5 cases), and Cebu (5 cases).
Meanwhile, David said the provinces of Antique, Benguet, Davao de Oro, Ilocos Norte, Laguna, and Pampanga reported four new cases each.
The DOH reported an additional 213 new COVID-19 infections in the country on Monday, bringing active infections to 12,639.
