Pagasa: Fair Monday weather; rain showers in parts of Bicol, Eastern Visayas

MANILA, Philippines — Isolated rain showers are expected in parts of the Bicol region and Eastern Visayas while the rest of the country will have fair weather on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Kasalukuyan sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa ay nakakaranas ng maganda at maaliwalas na panahon. May mga pag-ulan tayong namo-monitor sa Bicol Region,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.

(Most parts of the country will have  good and fair weather. We are monitoring rain showers, however, in the Bicol region.)

The same weather condition will prevail in Eastern Visayas, said Aurelio.

“Sa araw na ito, ang lalawigan ng Albay, Sorsogon, at Catanduanes ay makakaranas po ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm,” he added.

(Albay, Sorsogon, and Catanduanes will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.)

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possibilities of isolated rains brought by localized thunderstorms.

The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate, with waves rising up to 2.1 meters.
