Hot, humid weather to prevail during daytime; rains, thunderstorms at night
MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies will bring hot and humid weather in the country on Wednesday with chances of scattered rains due to localized thunderstorms later in the day, the state weather bureau said.
In its morning update, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa) said the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will continue to affect the country, bringing hot and humid weather conditions.
In Luzon, including Metro Manila, fair and warm weather is expected, especially at noon. Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda advised the public to limit outdoor activities or to bring items to block the heat when outside.
In the afternoon until the night, scattered rains or thunderstorms are expected due to localized thunderstorms.
Fair weather is also expected in Visayas and Mindanao. Scattered rains or thunderstorms are possible, especially in Eastern Visayas, according to Pagasa.
The state weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
