Man shoots self in front of partner
A 22-YEAR-OLD man allegedly shot himself in the head while he was talking with his live-in partner in barangay Poblacion, San Remigio town, northern Cebu.
Carl Andreo Cañete was declared dead when he was rushed to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City.
The man’s live-in partner, whose name was withheld by police, said she and the victim were talking in their room when the tragic incident occurred around 9 p.m. last Wednesday.
The woman said Cañete was lying on a bed while she sat on a chair beside it while they were talking.
The woman said she turned her back when she suddenly heard a gunshot rang out.
She was shocked to see Cañete bloodied on top of the bed.

Article continues after this advertisementThe woman called the man’s parents, who rushed the man to the hospital.
SPO1 Joe Johnnasky Ynot, investigator of the San Remigio police, said that according to the woman, Cañete’s was upset over something.
