Average daily COVID-19 cases dip to 4 in Ilocos region
LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—The Department of Health (DOH) in Ilocos reported on Monday (April 11) that the average daily COVID-19 cases logged in the region had dipped to four from April 3 to 9.
The figure was 47.1 percent higher than the cases recorded during the previous week of March 27 to April 2, the DOH data showed.
Last week, at least 25 COVID-19 cases were logged by the regional DOH. It also verified 32 deaths during the same period.
As of April 9, the DOH tagged at least 39 patients due to COVID as severe and critical cases.
The DOH added that the non-ICU (intensive care unit) utilization was at 11 percent, with 170 of the 1,532 beds already used. At least 18 percent, or 42 of the 236 ICU beds, had been occupied.
