LPA to bring overcast skies and rain in Visayas, Mindanao, parts of Luzon — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) located near Davao City will continue to bring rain throughout several parts of the country on Thursday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The LPA was last spotted 130 km east of Davao City, moving within the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
“Dahil pa rin sa LPA magiging maulap pa rin ang kalangitan natin sa buong bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao bukas, mga pag-ulan natin diyan mahihina hanggang katamtaman kung minsan may malalakas na bugso,” said Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren.
(Due to the LPA, skies will still be cloudy in all parts of Visayas and Mindanao tomorrow, while rains will be weak to moderate and sometimes with strong gusts.)
The LPA’s trough, said Clauren, will also bring rain and cloudy skies over parts of Luzon, specifically Quezon, Bicol Region and Mimaropa.
