BACOLOD CITY––Task Force Baklas will continue in this city to remove illegal campaign materials of national candidates posted in public places outside of common poster areas, said Bacolod Elections Officer Revo Sorbito on Wednesday, March 9.

Sorbito said they would comply with the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) on campaign material posted in private properties.

But billboards and oversized campaign materials in public places would be removed, he said.

The Supreme Court issued a TRO on Tuesday, stopping the removal of campaign materials that are privately owned and funded solely by volunteers and private citizens within their properties.

Oplan Baklas operations would continue Friday, March 11, in Bacolod, Sorbito said.
