Scattered rain showers, cloudy skies expected on Saturday — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao region on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa, in its forecast, warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rain in these areas.
(This LPA is not expected to develop into a tropical depression but it will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.)
Meanwhile, the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean will bring hot and humid weather in Southern Luzon and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.
Pagasa said Metro Manila and the rest of the areas not affected by the trough of LPA will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies or localized thunderstorms.
