13 Pampanga cities, towns log zero COVID-19 cases

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Thirteen of the 21 localities in Pampanga registered on Feb. 21 zero new COVID-19 cases, data from the province’s epidemiology and surveillance unit showed.

In its latest update, the health unit said only the City of San Fernando and Arayat, Mexico, Santa Rita, and San Simon towns have new cases on the first day of the week.

Porac, Macabebe, and Sto. Tomas towns failed to submit their Monday updates to the provincial government.

On Tuesday, San Fernando recorded zero new COVID-19 cases.

Pampanga’s latest data show that the province has 222 active cases.

Floridablanca town has the most active cases at 36, San Fernando follows at 35, and Guagua at 24.

Bacolor, Macabebe, Masantol, and Minalin towns have a single active case each.

Pampanga has recorded 56,403 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 53,604 had recovered, while 2,577 had died.

The province and the rest of Central Luzon are under Alert Level 2 from Feb. 16 to 28.
