Newborn, 2 others die of COVID-19 complications in Tarlac

A 1-day-old girl and two other persons had died of COVID-19 complications in Tarlac, the provincial government disclosed on Sunday, Feb. 6.

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – A 1-day-old girl and two other persons had died of COVID-19 complications in Tarlac, the provincial government disclosed on Sunday, Feb. 6.

In its latest bulletin, the provincial government said the newborn was from Concepcion town while the other fatalities include a 52-year-old man from Capas and a 68-year-old man from Gerona town.

Tarlac registered 60 new COVID-19 cases and 249 recoveries on Sunday, bringing its active cases to 504.

The capital Tarlac City had the most new cases at 29, followed by Capas with 14 and Gerona with seven.

Tarlac City also has the most active cases at 191, followed by Concepcion (43) and Paniqui (40).

Since the pandemic started in 2020, Tarlac has recorded a total of 22,946 COVID-19 cases, of which 21,590 have recovered while 852 had died. INQ
