P3.4M shabu seized in Mabalacat City buy-bust; suspect arrested

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – A joint Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and police anti-narcotics operation resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect who yielded some P3.4 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Lakandula village here on Sunday.
In a statement issued by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) on Tuesday, Feb. 1, it identified the arrested suspect as Dennis Balaba, 45, a resident of the said village.
Quoting Pampanga police director Col. Robin Sarmiento, the PRO3 said government operatives conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspect, who allegedly had with him five sachets of shabu weighing 500 grams.
The arrested suspect is facing a formal complaint for possession and selling of suspected shabu under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
