Quarantine, isolation facilities inside Crame now 100 percent-occupied
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported Friday all quarantine and isolation facilities inside Camp Crame are now 100 percent-occupied by its infected personnel.
PNP Deputy Chief for Administration and Chairman of Administrative Support for COVID-19 Task Force, Police Lieutenant General Joselito M Vera Cruz, said that as of 6 a.m., Friday, the quarantine and isolation facilities in Crame are in full capacity.
“Based on the data of our Health Service, the 287 rooms in Kiangan Emergency Treatment Facility and other facilities were fully occupied but we can still accommodate thru room sharing especially for families who got infected,” Vera Cruz said in a statement.
“Others will now be transferred to other isolation facilities within NCR, PNP, and LGU-owned,” he added.
Meanwhile, PNP Chief Police General Dionardo Carlos has ordered an expansion on the quarantine facilities inside Camp Crame and in the regional police offices to cater to more personnel and their dependents infected with COVID-19.
Article continues after this advertisementThe PNP reported 548 new cases among its personnel on Friday, bringing the total number of infections to 45,028. Of this number, 3,766 are active.
The police force also reported 44 new recoveries which brought the recovery count to 41,137. The death toll, meanwhile, remains at 125.
