MANILA, Philippines—Police are investigating the death of an elderly woman who may have fallen, jumped or been pushed off the Del Pan Bridge in Manila and landed on a barge below as she walked home from the Iglesia ni Cristo rally Tuesday night, police said.

A police report said INC member Rosario Reyes, 69, of Tioco Street, Zone 8, Barangay  91, Tondo was walking home at around 7:40 p.m., crossing the Del Pan bridge, when for some reason she dropped onto the top of the barge Don Winston that was docked on the Pasig river below.

Her broken, bloodied body was found by maintenance man Francisco Sablan, who heard a loud thud and came out to investigate, the report said.
