MANILA, Philippines — The Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, or Quiapo Church, will be temporarily closed from Jan. 3 to Jan. 6 amid the rising number of COVID-19 infections.

Fr. Douglas Badong, parochial vicar of Quiapo Church, announced on the church’s Facebook page that it would reopen on Jan. 7 in preparation for the Feast of the Black Nazarene on Jan. 9.
