/ 07:41 AM June 16, 2011

THE lawyer of the two primary suspects in the kidnap and murder of 6-year-old Ellah Joy Pique yesterday filed another motion to dismiss the charges filed against his clients.

“Senior Supt. Comendador found it safe not to attach the negative results of the DNA test because it will further weaken their case,” said lawyer Rameses Villagonzalo in a pleading filed before the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office yesterday morning.

He was referring to the  results of the DNA test on blood samples taken from his client Bella Ruby Santos’  Pajero.

Villagonzalo requested the office to dismiss the complaint against Santos and British partner Ian Charles Griffiths for “lack of merit, factual, and legal basis.”

Villagonzalo claimed that two witnesses of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas are “paid witnesses.”/Reporter ADOR VINCENT S. MAYOL
