6 dead as minibus rams tricycle, waiting shed in Pampanga town
MABALACAT CITY — At least six people were killed and four others were critically injured after a passenger minibus rammed into a tricycle and a waiting shed in Lubao town, Pampanga province on Sunday (Dec. 26) afternoon, authorities said.
According to the local police, the bus of Oster Liner came from Balanga City in nearby Bataan province and was bound for City of San Fernando, also in Pampanga, when the accident took place along the Jose Abad Santos Avenue in Barangay San Isidro around 4:30 p.m.
The bus also hit a concrete post, investigators said.
It was not immediately known if the fatalities were passengers of the bus or the tricycle or those at the waiting shed.
Videos that captured the incident also showed that an undetermined number of people could also be injured due to the collision.
