Negros Occidental LGU gives incentives to fully vaxxed public market vendors

BACOLOD CITY — The San Carlos City government in Negros Occidental is granting incentives to fully vaccinated vendors at its main public market.

San Carlos Mayor Renato Gustilo, in Executive Order 248 Series of 2021, said the city government will waive rental fees of stalls and spaces of fully vaccinated vendors at the Jose V. Valmayor Jr. Public Market this month.

It will also impose a one-month deduction in the computation of the calendar year 2021 annual income of the vendors on the renewal of their business permits.

“It is just but proper that they be given incentives for following the city government’s proactive measures to ensure the safety of its people during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.
