Ilocos Norte hospital starts administering COVID-19 booster shots to healthcare workers
LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte––The state-run Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH&MC) has started giving booster shots against COVID-19 to at least 1,200 healthcare workers on Thursday, Nov. 25.
The hospital said administering the booster vaccines came a week after the Department of Health gave it the go-signal.
At least 150 health workers of the hospital were set to receive the booster shots. MMMH&MC targets to give more booster vaccines before the year ends.
The hospital said the booster dose would be given to the healthcare workers who completed their vaccination more than six months ago.
The hospital started its COVID-19 vaccination drive in March, as it also became one of the primary inoculation facilities in the province that cater to the general adult population and minors.
