5 suspects yield shabu in Cavite buy-bust
LUCENA CITY—Police arrested Monday five drug suspects in Bacoor City in Cavite province and seized over P13,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from them.
The Bacoor police reported that anti-narcotics agents collared around 3:30 a.m. Edward Esguerra, Rachelle Olaguer, Fernando Jarabilo, John Rei Olaguer, and Rodolfo Carillo after they sold a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay San Nicolas 1. The report did not specify the relationship between the two suspects surnamed Olaguer.
Authorities seized eight plastic sachets of shabu from the suspects. The confiscated illegal substance is worth P13,600 in the street market.
Policemen also found several drug-sniffing paraphernalia in the possession of the suspects.
The suspects were detained at the local police jail and are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
