Most of PH to have cloudy skies, chances of isolated rains
MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have cloudy skies with chances of isolated rains brought by the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” and localized thunderstorms, the state weather agency said on Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Calabarzon, Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought by the shear line.
The rest of Cagayan Valley and of Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, and Cordillera Administrative Region, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Localized thunderstorms, on the other hand, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country including Metro Manila.
Moreover, Pagasa raised a gale warning over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, northern coast of Ilocos Norte, and the northern coast of Cagayan.
“Dahil sa inaasahan po nating paglakas ng amihan ngayong araw, nag-issue po tayo ng gale warning,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Pagasa also said it is not monitoring any weather disturbances in and out of the Philippine area of responsibility.
