Wet Tuesday in parts of S. Luzon, East and Central Visayas – Pagasa

Cloudy skies with scattered rain are expected to prevail over parts of Southern Luzon, Eastern and Central Visayas on Tuesday while the rest of the country will have generally fair weather, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with scattered rain are expected to prevail over parts of Southern Luzon, Eastern and Central Visayas on Tuesday while the rest of the country will have generally fair weather, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Sa may Bicol region pati na rin dito sa sa bahagi ng Palawan at Kalayaan Islands inaasahan natin na magiging maulap ang kalangitan bukas at may mga kalat kalat po ‘yan na pagulan at pagkidlat at pagkulob,” said Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren.

“Sa Metro Manila at sa natitirang bahagi pa ng Luzon, ay generally fair weather condition pa rin po ang inaasahan natin bukas at may mga tiyansa pa rin po ng pag-ambon dala ‘yan ng amihan,” she added.

(In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, we still expect generally fair weather conditions tomorrow and there are still chances of mist due to the northeastern monsoon.)

Meanwhile, the shear line will bring cloudy skies and rain over the eastern and central portion of Visayas.

The shear line is where the winds of the northeast monsoon and easterlies meet, according to Clauren.

On the other hand, the rest of Visayas as well as the entire Mindanao will experience “improved weather conditions,” with chances of rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Below are the forecasted temperature range in key cities/areas according to Pagasa for Tuesday:

  • Metro Manila: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City: 15 to 24 degrees Celsius
  • Laoag City:  22 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao: 22 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay: 21 to 22 degrees Celsius
  • Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan De Oro City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Zamboanga City: 24 to 34 degrees Celsius
  • Davao City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

No gale warning is raised over the coasts of the country as only slight to moderate sea conditions are expected in the majority of the Philippines’ seaboards.

However, Pagasa’s Clauren warned of moderate to rough sea conditions in the seaboards of Northern and Eastern Luzon.
