Over 4,000 DepEd personnel in Ilocos Norte now vaccinated vs COVID-19
LAOAG CITY—At least 4,368 or 91 percent of the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) in Ilocos Norte province had been vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the latest data from the agency.
The vaccination drive among the DepEd personnel in the province is part of its preparation for the resumption of in-person classes.
According to DepEd, 69 percent of its inoculated personnel had already been fully vaccinated while 22 percent had received the first dose.
At least nine public schools in Ilocos Norte will be participating in the pilot run of the limited face-to-face classes in the province on Nov. 15.
On Friday, the Commission on Higher Education had also started vaccinating eligible college students from six schools in the province, with the aim to inoculate at least 1,000 students who are enrolled in selected courses who are allowed to hold physical classes.
