Drivers with no traffic violations can now renew licenses for 10 years
MANILA, Philippines — Drivers who committed no traffic violations may now apply for a 10-year license at renewal.
Sen. Grace Poe, author of Republic Act (RA) 10930 that extended the validity of driver’s licenses from 5 years to 10 years for those with no traffic violations, announced this on Twitter on Thursday.
“Good news! Ang panukalang batas na ating isinulong sa Senado ay ipapatupad na simula ngayong araw!” said Poe.
(The bill we put forward in the Senate will be implemented starting today!)
“Kung wala kang traffic violation, maari ka nang makapag-renew ng 10-year Driver’s License sa LTO,” she added
(If you do not have any traffic violation, you can now apply for a 10-year driver’s license upon renewal at LTO.)
