60 more Tarlac residents contract COVID-19; death toll rises to 744
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — At least 60 more residents in Tarlac province have contracted COVID-19 while nine died from the viral disease, the provincial government disclosed on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
The new fatalities include eight Tarlac City residents between 32 and 73 years old and a one-year-old infant from Capas town.
In its latest bulletin, the Tarlac COVID-19 Task Force said 26 of the new cases are from Concepcion town.
At least 188 more virus-infected patients have also recovered from the disease, bringing the province’s active cases to 195, the same data showed.
Capas has the most active cases at 34, Victoria town with 33, and Tarlac City with 31.
Tarlac has recorded a total of 17,558 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 16,619 have recovered while 744 have died.
