LAOAG CITY — The vaccination drive for college students in the Ilocos region kicked off in La Union province on Wednesday (Oct. 21), with an aim to inoculate at least 1,500 college students in preparation for limited in-person classes for selected courses, according to local officials.

About 1,000 tertiary students enrolled at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University were the first recipients of the COVID-19 vaccines during the first two days of the activity held on Wednesday and Thursday. The next schedule of the vaccination drive for the students was set on Oct. 25.
