Zambales folk told to avoid visit to cemeteries during ‘Undas’
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The provincial government has asked residents to schedule their visit to the cemeteries before or after the actual observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day to avoid large crowds and transmission of COVID-19.
In an executive order, Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. said the visit to cemeteries and columbaria should be done before Oct. 29 or after Nov. 2
He said these areas should also maintain a 30-percent venue capacity to comply with the minimum health protocols during the said dates.
Last week, the province had enforced tighter quarantine restrictions due to the significant increase in COVID-19 cases.
The province has recorded 9,445 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic broke out last year. Of these, 487 remained active, 8,773 had recovered and 485 had died.
