Socialist presidential aspirant Leody de Guzman bares senatorial line up
MANILA, Philippines — Socialist presidential aspirant and Labor Leader Ka Leody De Guzman on Saturday bared his senatorial line up for the upcoming 2022 elections.
De Guzman, in a statement, stressed that the said politicians are not under obligation to carry his candidacy.
“This is not transactional politics,” he said. “Nagtitiwala ako sa kanilang hangarin para sa bayan.”
(I trust their vision for our country.)
These aspirants are running under De Guzman’s party Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP) where he also serves as a chairman:

These are the other candidates under de Guzman’s line up:
• Chel Diokno, human rights lawyer
• Risa Hontiveros, senator/feminist
• Neri Colmenares, activist lawyer
• Bong Labog, trade unionist
• Sonny Matula, labor lawyer
• Leila de Lima, senator
“Di ko man kapartido ay lubos kong pinagkakatiwalaan,” De Guzman stressed.
(They are not my party mates but I trust them very much.)
De Guzman filed his certificate of candidacy on October 6.
