Army seizes cache of dynamite in Bukidnon

/ 04:30 AM October 12, 2021

MANILA, Philippines — Army soldiers seized over the weekend 1,076 dynamite sticks, supposedly used by the New People’s Army (NPA) to make land mines, in Bukidnon. Troopers of the 8th infantry battalion and Bukidnon police were led on Friday by a communist rebel surrenderee to the explosives buried in Sitio Malinao, Barangay Kalasungay, Malaybalay City. Ronald Landasan, a squad leader of the CPP-NPA’s North Central Mindanao, claimed the dynamites were to be used to make land mines. Landasan and his family recently surrendered to the authorities.
