Boy, 14, dead as he crashed motorcycle into ambulance in Leyte town

ORMOC CITY—A 14-year-old boy died when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into an ambulance in the town of Isabel, Leyte province past 10 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 3).

The boy, BJ Diana Ochea, died on the way to the hospital.

Cpl. Jeremiah Misa, of the Isabel police, said the ambulance was rushing to the site of a road crash when the motorcycle being driven by Ochea swerved and slammed into the emergency vehicle as the boy tried to overtake a tricycle.

Ochea suffered multiple injuries.
