Water interruption in Mandaluyong, San Juan areas on Sept. 20 due to maintenance works

MANILA, Philippines —  At least 13 barangays in Mandaluyong City and another one in San Juan would experience water service interruption from September 20 to 21 due to maintenance works, water concessionaire Manila Water Company, Inc. announced on Friday.

According to Manila Water’s advisory posted on their website, the water interruption will start at 11:00 p.m. of September 20 (Monday), and end by 5:00 a.m. of September 21 (Tuesday).

These are the barangays that would be affected:
Mandaluyong City:
Mauway
Pleasant Hills
Highway Hills
Malamig
Addition Hills
Plainview
Barangka Ilaya
Barangka Itaas
Barangka Drive
Barangka Ibaba
Wack-wack East Greenhills
North East Greenhills
Hulo

Manila Water, which is in charge of the east concession area, said that the maintenance activity would concern the replacement of a gear box along Shaw Boulevard corner Ideal Street, at Barangay Addition Hills.

Around 38,000 households and commercial and business establishments may be affected.

“Manila Water is advising residents of the said barangays to store enough water to supply their needs during the interruption period.  After service is restored, customers are advised to allow a few minutes for flushing before using the water from their taps,” Manila Water said.
