Pedestrian dead in Quezon highway accident
LUCENA CITY – A pedestrian died after he was hit by a cargo truck along the Maharlika Highway in Tiaong, Quezon Monday night, police said Tuesday.
The Tiaong police reported that a truck driven by Elbert Miraflor sideswept Alexander Nesola, 42, who was at the roadside in Barangay Talisay at around 7:30 p.m.
Nesola died while undergoing treatment at Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City.
Miraflor was detained and is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
