Active COVID-19 cases in Pampanga’s capital breach 1,800-mark
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The active COVID-19 cases in the City of San Fernando reached 1,822 after the city government recorded Sunday 107 more, local health data showed.
The province’s capital city also registered 50 new recoveries and four deaths on Sept. 12.
Health authorities said the new fatalities were residents of Calulut, Del Pilar, Panipuan, and Telabastagan villages.
Telabastagan, which has 108 active cases, registered 14 more cases Sunday, while Calulut and San Isidro villages recorded 13 and 10 new cases, respectively.
Dolores village has the most active cases at 208, followed by Calulut with 149, and Sindalan with 135.
San Fernando’s active cases include Mayor Edwin Santiago, who contracted the virus on Sept. 7 and is currently under quarantine.
