/ 07:43 AM February 19, 2012

THE CEBU QUEEN City United Football Club (CQCU FC) seems to strive in a challenge after they clinched their second win yesterday against the Dolphins United FC at the Turf at Bonifacio Global City in the United Football League (UFL) Second Division Tournament.

The CQCU FC, whose practices were hampered by rain, routed the Dolphins United FC, 5-1.

Philippine Under-19 member Dan Villarico pulled through for the CQCU FC with back to back goals in the first half.

Missing three of its key players seem not to have bothered CQCU FC as they started hot and pierced through the Dolphin’s defense in the 15th minute of the match via Rommel Cuizon’s goal.

Villarico, a product of the Abellana National School (ANS), then scored his back-to-back goals in the 19th and 20th minute for a 3-0 halftime lead.

Another Philippine Under 19 member Prince Hanesim Anthony gave the CQCU a 4-point lead in the 61st minute of the second half.

The Dolphins managed to score a goal in the 67th minute through the efforts of Tim Clemente.

However, that goal proved to be the Dolphins only score in the match as Benedict Luis Arriola sealed CQCU’s win in the 76th minute.

The win allowed CQCU to climb a step up to sixth place among 12 teams with 7 points. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
