2 more senior citizens die of COVID-19 in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY––The number of COVID-19 deaths in this city has risen on Sunday to 203 after two more patients died, local health data showed.

The local task force said the fatalities were 79 and 82 years old.

The city’s active cases have reached 625, an all-time high, with 48 new infections on the same day. It was among the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in recent months.

The city has logged 3,855 COVID-19 cases since last year, with 3,027 of these having recovered. Its recovery rate further dropped to 78.5 percent from 80 percent the previous week.
