DOTr waives rental fees of Naia concessionaires from July until end-2021
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is waiving rental payments of concessionaires in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) from July until the end of this year.
Transport Assistant Secretary Goddes Libiran said Thursday that DOTr chief Arthur Tugade and the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) have approved the waiving of rental payments for five months or up to December 31.
“Lahat ng rental payments ng mga concessionaires sa food, retail at lounge sa NAIA ay waived na,” Libiran said in a statement.
(All rental payments of concessionaires of food, retail, and lounge in Naia are waived.)
“In effect, waived na po ‘yung Rental Fee ng mga concessionaires sa NAIA sa buong 2021,” she added, noting that Tugade earlier approved the waiving of concessionaires’ rental payments from January-June this year.
