1 of 7 close contacts of Iligan City’s Delta variant case still recuperating
ILIGAN CITY — All but one close contact of this city’s first case of the Delta COVID-19 variant have fully recovered.
Dr. Belinda Lim, acting City Health Officer, said the remaining patient is the Delta case’s father who tested positive in a repeat confirmatory test.
The city’s first Delta case is a 29-year-old male who works for a government agency in Quezon City. He went home for a visit with his family in Tomas Cabili village here last July 10 even as he already showed COVID-19 symptoms two days earlier, according to Lim.
He was able to infect six members of his family and his brother’s fiancée who is now the city’s second Delta case.
Lim said the man is now back to his work in Quezon City.
