3 drug suspects nabbed in Lucena City, P486K shabu seized

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three drug suspects and seized over P486,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations here Friday, police said Saturday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena City police chief,  identified the suspects as Jan Bernnie Bondad, Jeffrey Bolito and Rose Ann Deocales, all included in the illegal drugs watch list.

Bolito and Deocales were arrested after they sold a pack of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay  Market View at around 6:45 p.m.

Recovered from them were 10 sachets of shabu weighing 13.56 grams with an estimated street value of of P276,000.

Police nabbed Bondad in another operation in Barangay Cotta at around 3 p.m.

Bondad yielded seven sachets of shabu weighing 10.3 grams with an estimated street value of P210,000

Albacea said rehabilitated drug users and their former clients tipped off the suspects’ illegal activities to the police.

The suspects will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
