Gordon recovers from COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Red Cross chairman and Senator Richard Gordon said Thursday he has recovered from COVID-19.
“Yes, alam mo mag-ingat lang tayo, wala akong naramdaman, I was completely asymptomatic,” Gordon said in a televised briefing when asked if he already recovered from COVID-19.
(Yes. Let’s just be careful, I didn’t feel anything, I was completely asymptomatic.)
“But because my wife, ang asawa ko ay may autoimmune problem siya, syempre iningatan ko yung asawa ko, yung mga katulong namin sa bahay, yung aking mga kasama sa Red Cross at aking mga staff sa Senado, ayoko mahawa sila sa akin,” he added.
(But because my wife has an autoimmune problem, I had to be careful not to infect my wife, our helpers, my colleagues at the Red Cross and my staff at the Senate.)

(It was a bit strange because I was already vaccinated, but that’s what I’m saying, even if you’re vaccinated we have to be careful.)
“Lahat kayo kahit nabakunahan kayo, follow the protocols, kailangan naka-mask kayo, kailangan may distancing, kailangan naghuhugas kayo ng kamay at kailangan wag masyado naglalalabas,” he stressed.
(Even if you have been vaccinated, follow the protocols, wear your masks, observe distancing, frequently wash your hands and don’t go out often.)
It was last July 28 when Gordon announced he tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.
