MMDA to lift truck ban in NCR during ECQ period August 6-20
MANILA, Philippines — The truck ban will be lifted once the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) is reimposed over Metro Manila from August 6-20, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Benhur Abalos said Tuesday.
This is to ensure that the delivery of essential goods will be unhampered during the reimplementation of the strictest and most restrictive quarantine classification over the National Capital Region (NCR).
The MMDA earlier reimposed the truck ban on Edsa and other major thoroughfares in Metro Manila as the metropolis was shifted to a looser general community quarantine status.
