COVID-19 infects 9 more Central Luzon cops
OLONGAPO CITY––The number of active COVID-19 cases among the Philippine National Police personnel in Central Luzon rose to 80 on Tuesday, Aug. 3, with nine new infections, local data showed.
The latest tally of the health service office of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) shows that the new COVID-19 cases pushed to 1,973 the total number of infections recorded since the start of the pandemic last year.
But three more virus-infected PRO3 personnel also recovered from the disease on the same day, raising to 1,888 its number of recoveries. These reflect a 95.6-percent recovery rate.
No new COVID-19 fatality was added to the PRO3 on Monday. Its death toll still stood at five.
