MANILA, Philippines — Senator Richard Gordon, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, is now being treated in a hospital after initial tests indicated pneumonia.
Gordon’s office said the senator, who is also the chairman of the Philippine Red Cross, was admitted to the Makati Medical Center (MMC) Wednesday night “upon the advice of his physician.”
He will undergo observation and further testing related to COVID-19, it added.
“Initial COVID-19 panel test results and high-resolution chest CT-scan findings indicate COVID pneumonia,” his office’s statement read.
