Tarlac’s COVID-19 cases down by 18 percent in a week
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—The number of active COVID-19 cases in Tarlac province went down by 18 percent within a week, records from the provincial COVID-19 task force showed.
From 650 active cases on July 20, the number dropped to only 533 on Tuesday, July 27.
The number of patients, who recovered from COVID-19, increased from 7,779 to 8,081 during the same period.
The death toll rose from 396 to 406, including an 81-year-old woman in Pura town on Tuesday.
The provincial government recorded 25 new cases and 53 recoveries on July 27. It registered 9,020 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year.
Article continues after this advertisementTarlac City, the province’s capital, has the most active cases at 238, followed by Capas town with 63, and Bamban town with 26.
A 1-year-old patient from Paniqui town and a 2-year-old from Bamban town were among the 25 new cases reported on Tuesday.
