Hospitals seek state protection following doctor’s slay

/ 05:02 AM July 26, 2021

MANILA, Philippines — An association of private hospitals is seeking state protection for medical workers, following the killing of a doctor who owns a hospital in Pikit, North Cotabato.

The 700-member Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines Inc. (PHAPI) condemned in the “strongest terms the senseless murder of Dr. Robert Cadulong, the owner of Cadulong Medical Hospital …”

Cadulong was gunned down by still unidentified assailants while jogging in the early morning of July 23. Dr. Jose Rene de Grano, president of PHAPI, said they remained clueless as to the motive for the attack.
