Over 1,000 more Zambales residents now fully vaccinated against COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––Despite heavy rains, the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in the province continued Wednesday, with 1,440 doses vaccinated.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said 306 more individuals received the first dose, while 1,134 received their second dose of the vaccine.

The province had vaccinated 51,655 residents, with 16,284 of them fully vaccinated.

Of the total, 17,426 residents received the AstraZeneca vaccine, while 34,229 got Coronavac.

The province needs to vaccinate 400,000 of its 590,800 residents to achieve herd immunity. INQ
