Aurora province logs 2 COVID-19 deaths

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—The provincial government of Aurora reported Wednesday that two more residents had died after contracting COVID-19. The provincial emergency operations center disclosed that the two were its 71st and 72nd COVID-19 fatalities and were residents of the capital town of Baler and Dipaculao town. Local data also show that the province recorded 12 new COVID-19 patients and a single recovery for a total of 43 active cases. Some 1,879 patients have recovered from the total 1,994 cases recorded since the pandemic began last year. The new cases include eight residents of Dipaculao and two each from Baler and Maria Aurora towns. Dipaculao and San Luis have the most active cases at 12 each, followed by Dingalan (6), Baler (5), Maria Aurora (4), Casiguran (3), and Dinalungan (1). Dilasag town has zero active cases.
