CIDG nabs 3 Cameroonian suspects over illegal drugs, guns in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested three Cameroonian men, who allegedly yielded some P250,000 worth of drugs, guns, and live bullets, during an operation Wednesday in Barangay Duquit here.
CIDG-Region 3 officer Col. Norberto Delmas said they arrested Flabien Jerome Noah Omgba, 22; Yves Emmanuel Bidas Wanko, 38; and Prosper Henri Junior Essomba Mbarga, 19, in an apartment at Homesite subdivision in the said village.
Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon said in a statement late Wednesday that the illegal drugs and guns were confiscated after CIDG operatives and Mabalacat City police served a search warrant against a certain Enzo Omgba, also a Cameroonian, for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act,
The subject of the warrant, however, eluded arrest aboard a beige Hyundai Tucson sport utility vehicle.
The police found the three other foreigners inside the apartment. The suspects allegedly had a .45-caliber Colt MK IV pistol, a .380-caliber Caspian pistol, four magazine assemblies loaded with 19 rounds of live bullets, five sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), two sachets of marijuana, and 45 pieces of suspected Ecstasy party drugs.
