PH to have cloudy, rainy Monday — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The country is expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rain on Monday, the state weather service said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in its latest report said cloudy and rainy weather over Luzon and the Western Visayas is due to a monsoon trough, while the rest of the country may experience localized thunderstorms.

Areas of Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), the Bicol Region and the Western Visayas are expected to have moderate to heavy rain at times, while the rest of the country should expect possible thunderstorms.

Temperatures in Metro Manila is expected to range from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius; Tagaytay City at 23 to 29 degrees Celsius; Baguio City at 16 to 24 degrees Celsius; Laoag City at 25 to 31 degrees Celsius; Legazpi City at 24 to 32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City at 25 to 37 degrees Celsius; and Puerto Princesa City, at 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

In the Visayas, Cebu is projected to have temperatures from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius; Iloilo, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius; and Tacloban at 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

Zamboanga City meanwhile is expected to have temperatures of 24 to 33 degrees Celsius; Cagayan de Oro, 24 to 32 degrees Celsius; and 25 to 32 degrees Celsius in Davao City.
