Baler logs 49 new COVID-19 cases
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga –– Aurora’s capital town of Baler registered on Tuesday 49 new COVID-19 cases, the provincial emergency operations center reported.
Baler’s new COVID-19 cases comprise 71 percent of Aurora’s 69 new cases.
From June 4 to 7, Baler had only six total new cases.
When Aurora’s new cases ballooned to 416 from June 3-4 because of the mass swab testing in the province, Baler had 105 new patients.
As of June 8, the capital town has 486 total COVID-19 cases, of which 178 are still active. A total of 291 patients have recovered, while 17 have died.

Article continues after this advertisementAurora still has 631 active cases out of the total 1,565. It registered 885 recoveries and 49 deaths.
Aside from the 49 new cases from Baler, Aurora’s new cases on Tuesday include eight persons from Maria Aurora town, five from San Luis town, four from Dilasag, 2 from Dingalan, and one from Dipaculao.
The province registered zero deaths on Tuesday.
