Active COVID-19 cases among PNP personnel in Central Luzon rise to 226
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– At least 26 Philippine National Police personnel in Central Luzon are the latest to get infected with COVID-19, local health data showed Monday, June 7.
The new cases brought to 226 the active COVID-19 infections among the police force in the region, including this province, according to the Police Regional Office 3 health service.
To date, at least 1,505 police personnel in Central Luzon had been infected with COVID-19 since last year. Most of them got the virus while on duty.
But 1,274 of these patients had healed.
The disease also claimed five lives among its workforce in the region.
